  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup Prosecco
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add sugar and mix well.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add Prosecco and vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding the dry ingredients with milk into the wet mixture until smooth.
  6. Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  8. For frosting, whip cream until soft peaks form; gradually add powdered sugar.
