  • 1 (16 oz) package frozen cheese & potato pierogi
  • 1 lb smoked kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add sliced kielbasa and brown.
  2. In a crockpot, layer half of the pierogi, then half of the onion-kielbasa mixture, followed by half of the cheese. Repeat layers.
  3. Pour chicken broth over layers and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
  5. Before serving, mix in sour cream for added creaminess and let sit for a few minutes.
