  • 8 oz short pasta (e.g., fusilli or penne)
  • 1 can (5 oz) high-quality tuna in olive oil, drained
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. In a large bowl, combine drained tuna, chopped herbs, cherry tomatoes, red onion, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Gently fold the cooled pasta into the tuna mixture until combined without breaking the pasta too much.
  4. Adjust seasoning if needed and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
