Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 can (15 oz) sliced peaches in juice, drained and chopped
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and granulated sugar. Let sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and melted butter. Gradually add the yeast mixture to form a dough.
  3. On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. While dough rises, mix brown sugar and cinnamon; add chopped peaches.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about half an inch thick.
  7. Spread melted butter on dough; sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture and peach filling evenly over it. Roll tightly from one end.
  8. Cut rolled dough into equal pieces about two inches thick.
  9. Place rolls cut-side up in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Mix powdered sugar with vanilla extract; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
