Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.

  4. Gradually combine the egg mixture with the dry ingredients, folding gently.
  5. Divide the batter into three bowls; tint one red, one blue, and leave one plain. Spread each color in layers on the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown; let cool slightly on a kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar.
  7. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form; add powdered sugar gradually.
  8. Unroll the cooled cake gently, spread whipped cream evenly, then roll up tightly again.
  9. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour before slicing.
