Instructions

- In another bowl, mix buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients; stir until just blended.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the frosting, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in cocoa powder until blended. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Once the cake cools completely, pour frosting over it and spread evenly.
