  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and half of the chocolate chips together until smooth; stir well.
  3. Add both sugars to the melted mixture and mix until combined. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Gently fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the remaining chocolate chips.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
