- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3–5 tbsp ice water
- 2 cups tart apples (Granny Smith), peeled and chopped
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add ice water until dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- 2. Make the Filling: Combine chopped apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- 3. Roll Out Dough: On a floured surface, roll out chilled dough to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 3-inch circles.
- 4. Fill Bites: Place a spoonful of apple filling on half of each circle. Fold over and seal edges tightly.
- 5. Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- 6. Cool & Serve: Let cool slightly before enjoying.
