Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup finely chopped nuts (walnuts or pistachios)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup honey, for drizzling
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Gradually add warm milk and melted butter; stir until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and cover with a towel; let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
- While dough rises, combine chopped nuts with cinnamon and set aside. Melt extra butter for brushing.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle (¼ inch thick). Brush with melted butter and sprinkle the nut mixture evenly.
- Roll tightly from one end to form a log shape and cut into approximately 12 pieces.
- Arrange cut-side up in a greased baking dish; allow to rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle hot honey over the buns before serving.
