  • ½ cup brown sugar (for filling)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (for frosting)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Stir in melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla until just combined.
  4. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl for the filling.
  5. Spoon half of the batter into each liner, sprinkle with cinnamon filling, then top with remaining batter and swirl gently.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. While cooling, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together for frosting; spread over cooled cupcakes.
