- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sriracha (optional)
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
Instructions
- Press the firm tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Coat each tofu cube evenly with cornstarch for crispiness.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the tofu until golden brown on all sides (about 8-10 minutes).
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey/maple syrup, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and optional sriracha.
- Pour the sauce over the fried tofu in the skillet and stir gently to coat. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with rice or veggies.
