Instructions

  1. Sauté onions in olive oil over medium heat until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and crumbled sausage; cook until sausage is browned, about 8 minutes.
  3. Mix in the grated Gruyere cheese until melted; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface, cutting into rectangles.
  5. Place filling on one half of each rectangle, fold over, and seal edges.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush rolls with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
