Description

Garlic Potato Pops are the ultimate snack sensation, combining crispy exteriors with a fluffy, garlicky interior. These bite-sized delights are perfect for any occasion—whether it’s a cozy movie night or a lively gathering. Easy to make and even easier to enjoy, these savory pops will have everyone asking for seconds!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups starchy potatoes (e.g., Russets), peeled and chopped
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable or olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil chopped potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain.
  2. Mash potatoes in the pot with minced garlic, salt, pepper, and cheese until smooth.
  3. Once cooled slightly, scoop out small portions (about 1 inch) and roll into balls.
  4. Set up a breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, panko breadcrumbs in a third. Dredge each ball in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat and fry potato pops in batches until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
