Instructions

  2. Brew one cup of boiling water with the two Earl Grey tea bags for about 5 minutes; let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually combine flour and baking powder in a separate bowl, then add them to the batter along with brewed tea, milk, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
