  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a square baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl over low heat, then stir in cocoa powder until combined.
  3. Mix in granulated sugar before adding eggs one at a time; whisk until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in flour and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Mash half of the raspberries and fold them into the batter along with the whole raspberries for a beautiful swirl.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
