Instructions

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture alternating with whole milk until just combined.
  4. Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. For the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually mix in cocoa powder and powdered sugar alternating with milk until smooth.
