  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (smashed)
  • 1 cup fresh dill sprigs

  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cucumbers by washing and slicing them into spears.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine white vinegar, water, sugar, and salt over medium heat until dissolved.
  3. Add smashed garlic cloves and red pepper flakes to the hot brine; simmer gently while stirring for about 5 minutes.
  4. Pack cucumber slices and dill sprigs into sterilized mason jars, then pour the hot brine over them until fully submerged.
  5. Seal jars tightly and let cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 24 hours.
