- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/plant-based)
- 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or preferred)
- ½ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
- ½ cup salsa or guacamole
- Optional toppings: jalapeños, black olives, avocado slices
Instructions
- 1. Cook the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- 2. Add seasoning: Sprinkle taco seasoning over the meat with a splash of water. Stir until well combined and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- 3. Prepare toppings: While the meat cooks, chop lettuce and tomatoes. Shred cheese for assembly.
- 4. Assemble tacos: In individual bags of tortilla chips or cups, layer in the cooked meat followed by lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
- 5. Serve immediately: Hand out forks or let guests dig in with their hands!
