  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients while mixing on low speed. Scrape down the bowl as needed.
  6. Gently fold in mini chocolate chips and crushed candy canes.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool on baking sheets for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
