  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base by dicing the onion, grating the carrot, and chopping the celery.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat; sauté onion until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add carrot and celery; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in ground beef and pork; cook until browned. Break apart clumps as necessary.
  4. Deglaze with white wine, scraping the pan's bottom. Simmer until reduced by half (5-7 minutes).
  5. Reduce heat; stir in heavy cream, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently until slightly thickened.
  6. Mix in Parmesan cheese until melted; adjust seasoning if needed. Toss in fresh herbs before serving.
