  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups cooking oil (canola or vegetable)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour seasoned with salt and pepper, another with beaten eggs, and the last with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and cayenne pepper.
  3. Dredge each shrimp first in the flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry shrimp in batches for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and floating.
