- 2–3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground turkey with chopped onion, minced garlic, cilantro, and chipotle peppers until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs using wet hands.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides (8-10 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté remaining onions until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add canned tomatoes and cumin powder; stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return meatballs to the skillet; simmer in the sauce for an additional 10 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving hot over your choice of accompaniments.
