- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and rinse with cold water.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent; add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned, breaking it apart (5-7 minutes). Drain excess grease.
- In a bowl, mix cooked beef with ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Fill each shell with the beef mixture.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce in a baking dish. Arrange stuffed shells on top; pour remaining sauce over them and sprinkle with leftover mozzarella. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
