- 4 slices thick-cut bacon
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
- In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour for about 2 minutes.
