- 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin beef
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped (reserve some for garnish)
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Place the sliced beef in a zip-top bag or bowl and pour the marinade over it. Ensure all pieces are well-coated and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat with a splash of oil.
- Cook the marinated beef in single layers for about 3-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Just before finishing cooking, add chopped green onions and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Stir to combine.
