  • 8 oz Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz Emmental cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cloves garlic, cut in half
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper (to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (freshly grated)
  • 1 cup bread cubes (baguette or sourdough)

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with cut garlic cloves.
  2. In a bowl, combine Gruyère and Emmental cheeses with cornstarch.
  3. Pour white wine into the pot over low heat. Gradually add cheese mixture while stirring until melted.
  4. Stir in pepper and nutmeg until fully combined.
  5. Serve immediately with bread cubes for dipping.
