Description

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (3-4 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in the sifted flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  5. Stir in dried cranberries, white chocolate chips, and orange zest until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes or until lightly golden; a toothpick should come out clean.
  7. While cooling, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Once cooled completely, spread the frosting over the bars and slice into squares.
