  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, and soy sauce until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into four patties about ¾ inch thick with an indentation in the center.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (160°F internal temperature).
  4. Remove patties and set aside; add flour to the skillet, stirring until golden.
  5. Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; simmer until thickened.
  6. Return patties to the skillet with gravy; simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
