  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice or quinoa (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu between paper towels for at least 20 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into approximately 1-inch cubes.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes and sear until golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the tofu and toss gently to coat. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot over rice or quinoa.
