  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Gradually mix in flour and salt; add softened butter until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Mix brown sugar, chopped pecans, and cinnamon in a separate bowl for the filling.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (¼ inch thick), spread with softened butter, and evenly sprinkle the filling.
  7. Roll tightly from one long edge; slice into 12 pieces.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) while letting the buns rise again for about 30 minutes on a lined baking dish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
