  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream melted butter with dark brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture; stir until fully combined.
  5. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just blended. Add chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
  6. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
