  • 2 tbsp coarse sea salt
  • 2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 cup horseradish sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Rub the prime rib roast generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix minced garlic and rosemary in a bowl; spread this mixture evenly over the roast.
  4. Place the roast in a roasting pan and cook at 450°F for 20 minutes.
  5. Reduce the temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, about 1 hour.
  6. Let the roast rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve with horseradish sauce.
