  • 1 rustic Italian bread loaf (about 12 oz)
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 ripe heirloom tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise and place cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
