- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, and egg. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in size) and place on a baking sheet.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and brown meatballs in batches for about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, whisk flour into pan juices until smooth. Gradually add beef broth while stirring until simmering.
- Stir in heavy cream and let thicken slightly before adding sour cream. Return meatballs to the pan for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve garnished with parsley over noodles or mashed potatoes.
