  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping basil and mincing garlic.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, basil, and Italian seasoning until just combined.
  3. Add the egg along with salt and pepper; knead gently without overworking the mixture.
  4. Shape the mixture into thick patties (about one inch thick).
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the patties for about five minutes on each side until browned.
