Description

Walking Tacos are a delightful twist on traditional tacos, perfect for gatherings and outdoor fun. These portable treats feature crunchy bags filled with savory seasoned beef, creamy refried beans, melty cheese, and fresh toppings that everyone can customize. Ideal for busy weeknights or parties, they promise an explosion of flavor in every bite!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)
  • 1 cup refried beans (canned or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups chopped lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (ripe)
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 6 individual bags of tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart until fully cooked (about 6-8 minutes).
  2. Add taco seasoning and a splash of water; stir well to combine and heat for about 2 minutes.
  3. In a separate pot, warm the refried beans over low heat (about 5 minutes).
  4. Chop the lettuce and dice the tomatoes while the meat cooks.
  5. Assemble by opening individual bags of tortilla chips and layering in the cooked beef, beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream or Greek yogurt.
  6. Serve immediately while warm.
